A SHORT STORY BASED ON THE TRUTH
BY ELIZABETH AGUIRRE
..
Hello, my name is Elizabeth Marie Aguirre. 37 and living in Fresno, California. I’m going to school to become a history teacher to make sure I can keep todays youth excited to learn our past and how we all got here.
Now this story does involve drug use and it’s all very true. I was born on October 17, 1983. Since I was a child, I was always exposed to alcohol, cocaine, marijuana, and heroin. From an early age, my Father was not shy about his drug use, so naturally that damn apple that falls from the serpents tree would turn out the same. By my 21st birthday I had already experienced mushrooms, ecstasy, ketamine, pot, meth, whip its, and pills and it did not matter if it altered the mind I needed. Why was I so addicted? What was I doing? To me it seemed at every moment that I was not working , I had to push it to the limit. I would tell myself “let’s see how far we can up the ante”. As an alcoholic it was always a pain to find someone — “Excuse me sir, can I trouble you to buy me something to drink”. You would not be surprised in the early 2000s how many rejections a minor would get for Fire Water. It became such a hassle that drugs were just the easiest way to go. Now in the 60’s blotter acid was the thing, and in a college city by the name of Tempe, Arizona in the early 2000’s, Ecstasy and ketamine were the hot ticket item and if you knew how to control your full state of consciousness there was no stopping you.
Now these days, me being in my late 30’s, I could not tell you where you would find any of those narcotics. The NWO Elite want population control but are removing the things that can execute that. Have you ever heard of a Rave? I have. In fact, that was the thing and it was out in the middle of nowhere. It would be held in the desert of Arizona, which we called desert parties. There was a particular phone number every Saturday the kids would call at a specific time to get the directions for these parties. After you’re given the destination and you’re on a long stretch of highway that is all desert, you come to these posts called mile markers. When you hit your mile marker, you start to use the directions given to you by an Erie voice recording you heard earlier. Back then, cell phones were not like they are today, in fact if you had one you were primo. But out in the middle of nowhere, there is no such thing as a cell phone or cell service. So if anything should happen like an overdose or people flipping out on drugs they could not handle, you are being offered up the sacrificial lamb and they would provide a show for you, unless you are the Lamb!!
Now to start the day off, I decided to finally purchase myself a 30 pack of Budweiser for the very first time, Then We went to the Mexican restaurant across the street from my home and drank margaritas and Coronas with lime. By 10pm I was already sauced. We get word a desert party was in the works tonight. What could possibly be more exciting than drugs, alcohol and maybe a little sex and loud jungle music while you dance around the bon fire. Now at these types of parties, if you tell someone it’s your 21st birthday, they will treat you. As soon as we arrived I was already tanked from drink, I ran into a buddy who offered me a blue football. Now if you know anything about alprazolam it will knock you on your ass especially with booze and it does not matter the milligram. I took 1mg and continued to drink. I remember being in a friend’s arms in the back of a truck and then comes darkness. I remember to this day passing out and then waking up no longer in the back of the truck but sitting up in the back seat slumped over and hearing screams of Liz Liz Liz Then I remember responding “I’m not fucking dead god”.
“Dammit, Im fine” Then I hear a breath of relief of every person in the fucking vehicle. After that, I started to come to, and decided to hold off on the alcohol. Of course it being my 21st I was once again offered a pill, but this time ecstasy , I can’t remember what type was given to me, but I want to say it was a blue dolphin. These pills have all got different names, color and sizes, so they imprint a logo on them to identify what you’re taking. If someone says I only have blue dolphins and you have taken it before, you know what it entails. Normally it can take about 35-40 minutes for the drug to take effect. In that time frame I managed to also snort some bumps of special K, or “ketamine”, if you want to be technical.
Ketamine is a drug used for anesthesia and can put you in a stupor, or what we like to call a K-hole. In a nutshell that’s basically what you experience, but it’s very euphoric, enjoyable — especially when mixed with ecstasy. It can bring so much joy, laughter and love to someone you don’t even know. Again, for the next few hours I do not remember much but just being in a state of happiness. I woke up laying with my head on a woman’s lap and she was running her fingers through my hair and I had a pacifier in my mouth. In fact almost everyone did. When I opened my eyes, I realized I was laying in front of a fire and in a state of bliss. By this time it was about 4am and the sun was about to rise. It was finally decided to take the long ride home — find our designated driver. By the time we all ended up back into town, we were all coming down and still full of joy. We ended up at a friend’s house whose parents were at work. We decided to smoke some pot to kick back up the drugs we had taken earlier. We were all at an irritable state, somewhat due to not having a goddamn lighter. What’s the next best thing to do in Arizona? Sit on a trampoline and use a magnifying glass with the sun to light up the weed. I always thought this was a myth and couldn’t be done. I was wrong. All in all, the whole night was an episode of love, laughter and soon to discover a group of friends that proved to be loyal to me. I don’t think that I would ever change a thing because it is something that I hold dear to me as I no longer have any contact with these people. As you get older, you keep these little reminders of what a wild ride life has been.
